Dew's Studio

Dew’s Studio was established in February 2016 in a room not exceeding 4 * 4 square meters in the Alsalam area, south of Salmiya, after the architect Nada Al-Khalaf’s return from her enchanting trip to Morocco and specifically to the captivating city of Fez. Nada designed a ceramic studio in one of the vacant rooms at ArchiKid Academy for children and adolescents, where she provided an educational and entertaining program after school for them. She started taking intensive private ceramic lessons every Friday, in addition to traveling to Morocco, Turkey, and Britain to attend specialized ceramic workshops. Based on people’s interest on social media, Nada began giving some basic ceramic lessons in this small room, which witnessed the launch and formation of a small community of potters consisting of academy participants, their parents, and Nada’s social media followers.
Due to the expansion of the community of young and adult potters, they moved to a larger place with special specifications to meet the needs of participants and members. This expansion was made in collaboration with Mr. Zaid Al-haayb and the potter Mr. Mohammed Boufersan.
And now, after six years since the establishment of Dew’s Studio, we celebrate our complete expansion as potters Mohammed Boufersan and Nada Al-Khalaf, driven by our passion for ceramics, by creating this space designed by Forte Twelfe Office to host our fellow potters and anyone interested in experiencing the unique art of pottery with us.
